Cevro News, October 2026
The best AI for iGaming in 2026 is the AI that does a job inside your operation: answers a player, holds a payout, spots a VIP drifting, flags a risky session. At SiGMA World 2026 in Rome there will be more than 1,200 exhibitors, and a lot of them will have "AI" on the banner. This is our shortlist of what is worth your time, sorted by the job it does, with the questions that sort real products from demos.
We build AI customer support and player intelligence for iGaming operators, and the Cevro team is in Rome for all four days. So yes, we have a view on the first two categories. We have tried to be useful about the rest.

Sources: SiGMA's essential guide to SiGMA World 2026 and SiGMA's expo floor overview, which puts the floor at about 120,000 square metres.
The show brings together operators, suppliers, investors, affiliates and regulators. CDC Gaming notes that eligible casino operators get complimentary VIP passes, so expect more gambling operators on the floor than at a typical supplier show. That makes it a good week to compare AI vendors side by side.
The best AI for iGaming in 2026, by job
We have sorted this by what the AI does for you. A vendor that claims to do all six well probably does one of them well.
1. AI customer support agents
This is the most mature use of AI in iGaming and the easiest to test on a stand. The difference that matters is whether the AI can see and act on the player's account. Plenty of products still answer from a help centre and nothing else.

The third column is the one to ask for.
What good looks like: the agent reads balances, transactions, KYC status, bonus history and RG flags before it replies. It takes actions inside limits you set. It hands over to a human with the full context when a rule says so. Operators using Cevro typically resolve 80 to 90% of player tickets without a human, with CSAT of 4.8 or higher after automation.
Ask on the stand: "Show me a withdrawal held for KYC, in Italian, on a platform like mine." Then ask how long deployment takes on your platform. With a native integration it should be days.

2. Player retention and VIP AI
Most operators already know proactive, personal attention keeps players. They run it as a VIP programme. The limit is headcount: a host can carry a book of a hundred or so players, and everyone below that line gets lifecycle campaigns.
What good looks like: AI that reads a change in a player's behaviour and starts a relevant conversation, using the same account data your support agent uses. It should explain why it flagged a player, so your CRM team can trust it.
Ask on the stand: "Which signal made you flag this player, and what happened next?" If the answer is a churn score with no reason, keep walking.
Cevro's player intelligence layer sits in Cevro Insights. We wrote more about AI agents beyond ticket deflection before SBC Summit Lisbon.
3. KYC, fraud and payments AI
Document checks, bonus abuse detection, payment risk scoring. This is where AI has been in production longest, often without being called AI. The Global Finance Stage in Hall 8 covers payments and digital assets, so some of these suppliers will be nearby.
What good looks like: clear decisions with reasons, an easy route for a human to override, and an API your support agent can read. A player asking why their withdrawal is pending should get the real reason, which only happens if the KYC system shares its status.
Ask on the stand: "What does my support team see when your system holds a payment?"
4. Responsible gaming AI
Monitoring for harmful play patterns and distress language. Regulators increasingly expect it to cover every interaction. A sample is hard to defend.
What good looks like: monitoring on 100% of conversations and sessions, escalation rules set per market, and a full log of what was flagged and what was done. Cevro runs RG monitoring on every support conversation and logs every interaction for audit.
Ask on the stand: "If a regulator asks about one player's conversation from last month, what can you show them?"
5. AI in CRM and bonus engines
Personalised offers, next-best-action, bonus optimisation. Useful, and also the easiest place to lose money if the AI has no hard limits.
What good looks like: bonus ceilings and ratio limits set as configuration that the AI cannot override, with every offer traceable to a rule.
Ask on the stand: "Where are the hard limits set, and who in my team can change them?"
6. AI for affiliates and marketing
Content generation, creative testing and traffic quality scoring. The AGS stage in Hall 2 is the affiliate hub. Look for traffic-quality tools that show their reasoning, since that is where the money is lost.
How to shortlist the best AI for iGaming in four days at SiGMA World

Book the meetings before the floor fills up.
Before Rome: pick two use cases you will actually buy for in the next six months. Book meetings in SiGMA Match.
Day 1: walk Hall 7 and the main gaming halls. Collect names. Do not sit through full demos yet.
Days 2 and 3: run live demos on your own scenarios. Bring three real tickets from last week, anonymised.
Day 4: narrow to two vendors per use case. Ask about integration with your platform and a proof point on real traffic.
After: run the proof point within weeks while the conversation is still warm.
